MCLEAN, Va. and Los Cabos, Mexico – February 2nd, 2017 – Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the appointment of Marco Tabet as general manager of the 375-room Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort. Tabet brings more than 20 years of luxury resort and hotel experience to the Los Cabos property. In his new role, Tabet will oversee all aspects of Hilton Los Cabos including hotel management, guest experience and overall day-to-day operations.

A seasoned hospitality veteran, Tabet returns to his former home at Hilton Los Cabos, where he served as director of food and beverage from 2007 to 2012. Mastering his skills as a culinary operations expert, Tabet continued to advance his career as general manager of Waldorf Astoria Panama and Hilton Lima Miraflores.

Most recently and since 2013, Tabet served as general manager of Hilton Lima Miraflores, where Hilton was recognized as a 2016 Great Place to Work with a first place category ranking. In 2012, Tabet accepted his first general manager role at Waldorf Astoria Panama, where he successfully led the hotel’s opening and helped secure the brand’s best hotel opening of the year award.

Tabet joined Hilton in 1996 at Hilton Madagascar, where he began his early concentration in the food and beverage department. Throughout his career, Tabet has held several leadership positions at Hilton properties including: Hilton Curaçao, British Colonial Hilton Nassau, Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort, Waldorf Astoria Panama and Hilton Lima Miraflores, as well as the former Hilton Tobago and Hilton Caracas.

Tabet received a commercial apprenticeship from Banca della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland and later attended Geneva Hotel Management School. He is fluent in Italian, English, Spanish and French. He will be living in Cabo with his wife and two young boys.
