Singapore, 15 September 2016 – Pan Pacific Hotels Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Emmanuel as General Manager of Pan Pacific Hanoi, the Group’s first Pan Pacific property in Vietnam.

Currently operating as Sofitel Plaza Hanoi, the property is undergoing refurbishments to its lobby, lobby bar, all-day dining restaurant and meeting spaces before being launched as Pan Pacific Hanoi on 1 October 2016.

Marc is neither stranger to Vietnam nor to the property, having been based there previously for five years as its Executive Assistant Manager. He has amassed extensive international hospitality experience from the multi-cultural environments of France, Morocco and Switzerland over his 15-year career. Upon graduating from the Glion Institute for Higher Education in Switzerland, Marc started his hospitality career with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where he earned increasingly senior roles in revenue management and operations.

As General Manager of the 273-room Pan Pacific Hanoi, Marc will oversee and manage the daily operations of the elegant hotel which is located close to Hanoi’s historic Old Quarter. The centrally-located Pan Pacific Hanoi commands a picturesque view overlooking West Lake, Truc Bach Lake and the Red River, and offers convenient access to the business district at the same time.

The hotel also caters to the needs of extended stay guests with 56 fully-equipped serviced suites, while 12 versatile meeting spaces – including a pillarless ballroom that can seat 450 guests – makes the hotel an ideal venue for corporate meetings and grand banquets.

“We are delighted to welcome Marc to the Group. With his extensive experience and networks in Vietnam, combined with an international hospitality outlook, Marc is the ideal candidate to drive strong performance for a brand-defining hotel like Pan Pacific Hanoi as we continue to strengthen our presence in key gateway cities in the Asia-Pacific region. Being deeply familiar with the property, we are confident that Marc will combine seamless operations with strategic direction to firmly entrench the Pan Pacific brand in the market. We are excited to have a presence in Hanoi and for our guests to be able to experience the refreshing Pacific experience which the Pan Pacific brand is known for,” says Erik Anderouard, Senior Vice President, Operations, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

Pan Pacific Hanoi will be the Group’s second property in Vietnam after the award-winning PARKROYAL Saigon, which is located in Ho Chi Minh City. Pan Pacific Hanoi will be a valuable addition to the Group’s expanding portfolio in Indochina, which includes PARKROYAL Saigon, PARKROYAL Yangon and PARKROYAL Nay Pyi Taw; as well as the stunning Pan Pacific Yangon which will debut in Myanmar’s capital city in 2017.
