SUNDERLAND, UK - Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Worldwide's (NYSE: HLT) upscale global brand of hotels, today announced the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Sunderland, located next to the Stadium of Light, home to Sunderland's Premier League football club.

Hilton Garden Inn Sunderland is managed by HMI Hospitality Management International and operated under a franchise agreement with Hilton Worldwide. The 141-room hotel is the brand's first property in the North of England.
