LOS ANGELES, Calif.  — March 23, 2021 —  Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia Hotel, the newest addition to Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, Inc., has appointed Dan Zwirn to helm the property that will officially open on May 25, 2021.

The seasoned General Manager most recently oversaw the opening of the TRYP Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pa., a luxury boutique property in the heart of Pittsburgh’s trendy Lawrenceville neighborhood. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in hotels across the country including General Manager at Le Méridien Philadelphia and opening General Manager at the Westin Wilmington.

Zwirn knows the hospitality industry well, as he worked his way up from a bellman at the Sheraton La Jolla to holding positions across the spectrum of all hotel disciplines from food and beverage leadership to rooms and operations at various upscale hotels around the country.

“Le Méridien Arcadia will be my fifth hotel opening, and I am extremely excited to welcome guests to this special property. Every detail has been carefully considered, and there is much to explore in this community,” Zwirn said. “I have been fortunate enough to work in the hospitality industry for over 25 years now, and I am passionate about developing the industry’s next generation of hotel leaders.”

The new mid-century modern hotel, located opposite the Santa Anita Racetrack, will boast 234 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites plus over 14,000 square feet of chic event space in Los Angeles. Le Méridien Arcadia is owned by SAICP, LLC and managed by Pacifica Hotels, the largest owner and operator of lifestyle, design-inspired hotels on the Pacific Coast.

Guests can savor the good life through a culinary journey at the hotel’s dining destination Mélange, which will showcase Asian fusion-inspired cuisine helmed by Chef Mako. Longitude 118, the hotel’s grand bar, will offer one-of-a-kind private and international spirits, wines and beers, along with a bespoke high tea and highballs cocktail program. The high tea and highballs concept melds the refinement of traditional high tea with the sophisticated twist of custom highball cocktail mixology using the centuries-old craft of tea infusion.

With over 14,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces spanning five separate rooms – three of which are private dining rooms – as well as over 1,800 square feet of indoor pre-function space and an expansive event lawn, Le Méridien Arcadia is poised to be the preeminent destination for business and social banquets and events.
