(Aspen, Colo.) – April 22, 2014 – Kimpton’s Sky Hotel in Aspen is thrilled to welcome industry veteran Casandra Foister as the hotel’s new Director of Sales and Marketing. With more than 20 years of experience in the Aspen area, Foister is uniquely qualified to take the Sky Hotel to the next level, bringing to the role strong relationships, expertise and a passion for Aspen as an international destination. Foister most recently worked for the Hotel Jerome in Aspen and began her Kimpton journey with the Sky Hotel earlier this month.

“The Sky Hotel is undergoing a transformation of sorts, with a new team and a recent renovation to the hotel and 39 Degrees Lounge,” said General Manager Corey Enloe “We have been looking for the right person to continue to elevate the overall experience, and Foister brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to do just that.”

Foister began her hospitality career at Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, and then decided to give Aspen a try where she worked for several area hotels including the Limelight, Innsbruck and Hotel Jerome, all in a sales and marketing capacity. She has a proven track record of reinventing hotels and improving their ratings through aggressive and strategic marketing campaigns.

“Having been in Aspen for many years, I knew the Sky Hotel was where I belonged,” said Foister. “There is just something exciting and cutting edge about it…from the décor to the ever-present après ski scene. I am so excited to be able to showcase this hotel.”

The Sky Hotel has recently been recognized as “A Place to be Scene” by Travel + Leisure magazine, “One of the Top 10 Places to Bar Hop Around the Globe” by USA Today for the hotel’s lounge, 39 Degrees and “A Boutique Property with a Progressive Vibe” by Wine Enthusiast magazine.
