PHOENIX, AZ – February 1, 2022 – JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Paige Lund to the role of general manager of the luxurious resort set on 316 acres of sweeping Sonoran Desert. As a seasoned hospitality and luxury hotel professional, Lund brings more than 25 years of experience to her new role at the resort celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Prior to joining the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort team, Lund was the general manager of another Arizona favorite, JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. She graciously embodies the spirit and tenacity of what it takes to lead one of Arizona’s largest luxury resorts. As general manager of the 950-room resort, Lund is responsible for overseeing daily operations including the resort’s seven distinctive dining concepts, Revive Spa, Wildfire Golf Club, meetings and events, and guest programming like the resort’s 17 new pickleball courts and four acres of elaborately landscaped waterways.

Previously, Lund held ranks as the general manager of the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel, eventually leading to her promotion in 2017 to area general manager where she oversaw and supported the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown and Westin Phoenix Downtown. She was instrumental in transforming and re-positioning the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel into a leader in the market and throughout the Renaissance brand. Lund successfully led the property through multiple projects, while creating a distinct culture, improving hotel offerings and amenities, elevating service levels, maximizing revenue growth, and increasing market share.

In addition to multiple leadership positions within Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Lund also served as the general manager of Sheraton Phoenix Crescent; vice president of lodging for The Canyons Ski Resort in Park City, Utah; general manager of The Wigwam in Litchfield, Ariz.; and held executive level positions with The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Phoenix and The Boulders Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Lund is actively involved in multiple Arizona hospitality and tourism organizations including Visit Phoenix Board of Directors, the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association Board, Experience Scottsdale Board, Northern Arizona University School of Hotel and Restaurant Management National Advisory Board, and HopeKids Arizona State Board. Throughout her storied career, Lund has always shown a strong spirit and believes in giving back to the communities in which her hotels or resorts reside, leading her to partner with an array of philanthropic organizations. Lund earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Northern Arizona University. She remains active in educating and developing the next generation of hospitality professionals by visiting the university and participating in a series of lectures and presentations throughout the year including Grand Canyon University’s Hospitality Mentor Program.
