VANCOUVER – January 2020: Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, the iconic world leading hotel group known for its historic luxury and unparalleled service, has announced the appointment of Jannika Spremberg as Director of Sales and Marketing of Fairmont Empress in Victoria, BC.

In her new position, Spremberg will lead the Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Catering and Conference Services teams, tasked with optimizing revenue opportunities and continuing to develop the hotel’s iconic brand. She most recently served as the Director of Revenue Management, Fairmont Empress, a role that gave her valuable insights and understanding of the hotel’s rate strategy and comparative analysis of Canada’s West Coast hospitality market.

Prior to her time at Fairmont Empress, Spremberg spent four years as the Director of Revenue Management at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Bermuda, following her time spent in progressive roles within the Revenue Management team at Fairmont Dubai.

Spremberg holds a BA in Hotel Management from The Hague. She was awarded Leader of the Year at Fairmont Hamilton Princess in 2015 and currently sits as co-chair on the Fairmont Empress RiiSE Committee, a corporate led initiative promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
