ISLAMORADA, Florida Keys (November 7, 2018)Cheeca Lodge & Spa, an iconic luxury lifestyle hotel in the Florida Keys, announces the appointment of Israel Ferrer as Food & Beverage Director, overseeing the property’s reimagined signature restaurants, Atlantic’s Edge and Nikai Sushi Bar, as well as the newly debuted Neapolitan Italian Bistro, Mia Cucina. As the new Food & Beverage Director, Ferrer will bring over 10 years of experience in the hospitality and culinary industry to the landmark 214-room property.

Prior to joining the Cheeca Lodge & Spa team, Ferrer was Director of Food and Beverage of the Muse Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants in New York. Ferrer’s robust hospitality experience spans positions held in New York and California, including being the 8th Floor Complex Senior Director at New York Mariott Marquis, where he was promoted to Director of Food & Beverage at JW Marriot Essex House. In this new executive position, Ferrer will be instrumental in menu planning, food sourcing and managing the property’s notable kitchen staff, overseeing all initiatives surrounding food & beverage.
