BOSTON, MA (December 17, 2015) – The International Society of Hotel Association Executives (ISHAE) named Greg Adkins as Chair of the ISHAE Board of Directors during its annual meeting on December 4. The one-year term will commence on January 1, 2016. Adkins is the President & CEO of the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association (TnHTA), a statewide 501(c)(6) professional trade association representing over 1,600 companies, inclusive of Tennessee restaurants, lodging, and tourism partners.

"Greg brings a lot of expertise to the table," said ISHAE Executive Director Christina Pappas. "We're looking forward to 2016 and the working with Greg as our chair."

In addition to running the TnHTA, Adkins is a member of the Governor Haslam's Tennessee Tourism Committee, Vice Chair of the Nashville Metropolitan Planning Commission, Nashville Metropolitan Parks Board member, and executive committee member of the Music City Bowl.

He has served as the President of the Tennessee County Services Association, as a board member of the Tennessee County Commissioners Association, and as Chair of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce Business Conditions Council. Formerly, Adkins was elected as Nashville Metropolitan Council District for eight years before reaching his term limit. On the council, Greg served as Chair of the Convention Center and Tourism Committee.
