Major Enhancements, Refined User Interface Included in Infor Hotel Management System (HMS) 3.6
NEW YORK- Feb. 4, 2014 – Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced the availability of Infor Hotel Management System (HMS) 3.6, the latest generation of hotel management and business social collaboration software in the Infor Hospitality suite of solutions. Infor HMS 3.6 delivers enhancements that are focused on expanding guest service functions, rate and reservation management, group convention handling and resort fee and package management, and is available for deployment both in the cloud and on-premise. Infor Hospitality solutions deliver multi-departmental hotel management software that touches virtually every area of a business.
A main feature of this release is the incorporation of the Infor User Experience platform, a consumer-inspired user interface that makes business applications as intuitive, attractive, and fun to use as personal technology. This beautiful interface, based on HTML5 technology, delivers information in a consolidated, easy-to-navigate application, providing users actionable items to help them make better decisions faster and ultimately increase guest satisfaction. Powered by Infor 10x, the latest release of Infor’s proven business applications, customers will also benefit from Infor Ming.le which provides a centralized platform for employee collaboration, in-context business intelligence, and mobile capabilities including the Infor HMS iPad application, which empowers staff to get out from behind the desk and in-front of guests, with the real-time information necessary to provide enhanced, personalized service from anywhere in the hotel.
As more and more hotels look for ways to stay connected with the Millennials, Infor took into account the need for enhanced social tools in this release. Infor HMS 3.6 gives hoteliers tools to track guest’s social media handles for Facebook, Twitter, Trip Advisor and Booking.com, which assists hotels in managing social communication with guests. As social trends continue to move away from face-to-face interactions, having online capabilities to pay attention to the needs of a guest via multi-channels will be important in securing repeat business, increasing loyalty and strengthening positive online reviews.
“Monitoring hospitality industry trends is a vital strategy for Infor and we continue to align our business applications with new and innovative functions that keep pace with an ever-changing industry,” said Stewart Applbaum, senior vice president and general manager, hospitality, Infor. “Infor continues to invest in the HMS software application which is focused on providing our hotel customers with flexible enterprise software to manage their business and exceed their guests’ and meeting planners’ expectations every time they interact with them.”
Infor HMS 3.6 is available in English, Chinese, French, German and Spanish, allowing Infor’s global customers to immediately benefit from the new features and interfaces.
