LAHAINA, Hawaii (January 10, 2019) – Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa announces the appointment of David MacLean as Director of Sales and Marketing. With over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and 10 years working on properties in Hawaii, David brings extensive knowledge and passion to his new position.

David was previously the Director of Sales, Marketing and Events at Andaz 5th Avenue in New York City and, prior to that, held the position of Associate Director of Sales at the Hyatt Regency Maui. These roles honed David’s skills as a detail-focused strategist, team leader, and effective communicator.

“I am thrilled to be back at Hyatt Regency Maui,” said MacLean. “I look forward to coming back to this award-winning resort destination where I was fortunate to grow earlier in my career. I plan to bring my leadership, strategic insight, and enthusiasm for hospitality to the property every day, and in turn, help with its continual success.”

MacLean began his hospitality career as the Hotel Manager for the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel before working at Honua Kai Resort and Spa as the Homeowner Experience Manager and Sales Manager. He then took his skills to Hyatt Regency Maui and Andaz 5th Avenue.

A graduate of Hawaii Pacific University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Travel Industry Management, David enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking and snorkeling.
