Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) has just released a new format for the USALI, 11th revised edition: a digital version that is available through a subscription service. The popular guide is widely used internationally and its primary purpose is to offer operating statements formatted to provide hotel owners, managers and other interested parties with operational information pertinent to the lodging industry. The USALI was first published in 1926 and is currently in its 11th edition. The subscription will make it easy to access on multiple digital devices.

“In 2018, HFTP purchased the copyright to the USALI with the goal to expand its usage internationally, and making it easily available digitally is a huge step in that direction,” said HFTP Deputy CEO Thomas Atzenhofer, CPA. “Since HFTP purchased the copyright, we have actively worked to raise the profile of the USALI, by participating with the Global Finance Committee in the revision process for a 12th revised edition and introducing two professional USALI Certificates.”

The USALI subscription service will cost $14.95 USD a month or $149.95 USD for an annual subscription. Subscribers will have access to the full 11th edition along with a collection of subscription-only resources such as FAQs and guidance articles. The USALI is also available as a soft-cover book for $149.95 USD, with a bundle discount available for the purchase of the soft cover book and subscription.

In addition to developing the online USALI, HFTP debuted this Spring the USALI Certificates, developed and powered by Ascend. The program offers two certificates: USALI-11 Certificate, Theory and USALI-11 Certificate, Practice – Analysis and Compliance. Each certificate is a four-module course which cover the concepts, organizational structure and application of this industry-wide reporting standard. Currently the certificate program is being offered at an introductory cost of $75 USD per module or $250 USD per certificate bundle (a combination of all four modules) through August 31, 2020. On September 1, 2020 the regular price structure will apply: $300 per module and $1,000 per certificate course.
