FUNNER, CA – September 17, 2021 – Harrah’s Resort Southern California is proud to announce the appointment of Jill Barrett to Senior Vice President and General Manager. With nearly three decades of experience in the gaming industry and extensive time spent at various Harrah’s properties since 1993, Barrett aims to guide Harrah’s Resort SoCal forward as the leading casino and resort in Southern California. In her new role, Barrett will oversee the property’s operations, ensuring the Funner experience is celebrated top to bottom with guests and Team Members alike.

Over the years, she has demonstrated the ability to lead and manage operations and we are beyond confident in her experience. We look forward to continuing to work with her in this new role.”
Barrett joined Harrah’s Resort SoCal as the Vice President of Finance in 2008, since then she has been a beloved leader for more than 13 years. She even stepped in as the interim General Manager for three months in 2020, leading the property through an incredibly challenging time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to her time at Harrah’s Resort SoCal, Barrett was the Director of Finance at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino and also spent time at Harrah’s Reno. Her exemplary leadership skills have awarded her the Caesars’ Excellence in Leadership Award in 2019 and this year’s Leadership Award from the North San Diego Business Chamber. She is accredited with being a savvy financial player within Caesars Entertainment, as well as a premier team leader. Her diverse experience in finance, operations, employee engagement, expansion and strategy speak to her unparalleled ability to guide the resort. She has been with the property for many of its milestones within recent history, including a $160 million expansion project; the debut of Funner, California; and a celebrity mayoral campaign.

Barrett has lived in Temecula with her wife, Karen, for 26 years. In her spare time, she loves to golf, ski, read books, do jigsaw puzzles and go for daily walks. She’s also a die-hard fantasy football player.
