Resort Implements rGuest® Seat for Improved Restaurant Table Management, rGuest® Pay for Secure Payment

AGILYSYS INSPIRE, LAS VEGAS — Feb. 24, 2016Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services, today announced that Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, in Reno, Nev., has selected the rGuest® Seat and rGuest® Pay solutions to enhance efficiency and guest service at the 2,000-room property. Grand Sierra is a longtime user of Agilysys LMS® property management and InfoGenesis® POS systems.

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, which includes 11 dining options, 10 bars and lounges and a number of retail shops, needed a restaurant reservation, table and wait list management system that would automate reservations, optimize wait list execution and increase guest bookings. The property also wanted a payment gateway solution that would safeguard guests’ financial data and reduce the risks associated with card acceptance. Agilysys offered the solutions the resort was looking for, with state-of-the-art features and functionality that streamline operations and enhance the guest experience.

“The Agilysys solutions are ideally suited to our needs,” said Rod Luck, senior vice president of IT at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. “rGuest Seat will allow us to personalize our engagement with diners to drive repeat business, while rGuest Pay will protect sensitive cardholder information. Implementing these systems will help us boost efficiency across our many dining and retail venues, capitalize on revenue opportunities and provide excellent guest service.”

rGuest Seat is a comprehensive reservation, table and wait list management solution that streamlines operations and enables restaurants to provide superior guest service. Built on open industry standards, the flexible solution can reside on a fixed terminal or operate on a mobile tablet, so that servers can greet guests and easily move around the restaurant to update table status. rGuest Seat provides diner details and preferences to the host and serving staff, allowing the restaurant to own guest information from start to finish and provide a customized dining experience. In addition, automated wait list management ensures that guests receive accurate wait time estimates and easy notifications of seating availability. An online reservation widget, which allows guests to book reservations from the hotel website, offers a variety of customized options, such as special menus and seating areas.

rGuest Pay is the Agilysys payment gateway that enables complete and secure payment processing. It leverages one of the only payment offerings that includes: validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE), which reduces the potential for malicious hacking and fraud; a Payment Information Proxy (PIP) that secures data arriving via e-commerce interfaces; robust tokenization, which eliminates storage of cardholder data; and a full range of fixed and mobile EMV-ready payment devices that ensure compliance with new card security regulations. rGuest Pay integrates with any POS or PMS product and offers fixed and predictable costs with flat monthly rates and no volume tiers.

"Grand Sierra is a leader when it comes to using technology, and we are thrilled the property is expanding its partnership with us,” said Jim Walker, senior vice president of global revenue at Agilysys. “rGuest Seat and rGuest Pay are powerful applications that address some of the top concerns of large casino hotels – convenience, speed of service and security. Together, these systems will enable Grand Sierra to streamline efficiency, protect guests’ financial data and minimize their own operational risk. More importantly, the solutions will help the property create lasting connections with guests, which will increase loyalty and repeat business.
