With extensive New England hotel experience, Sauceda brings a keen dedication to warm hospitality and a passion for contributing to the revitalization of the Downtown Crossing neighborhood in which the Godfrey, Boston is being established.

Opening in the historic Amory and Blake buildings in Downtown Crossing just a block from Boston Common, Oxford Capital’s expansion of the Godfrey Hotel brand from Chicago will integrate the historical integrity of the buildings into the hotel’s opening, while inviting each guest to digitally “Discover Your Element.”

Sauceda’s deep-rooted connection with Boston stems from his wide breadth of experience working in New England hospitality. In his work as the director of sales and marketing of award-winning Ames Hotel in Boston, Sauceda developed out-of-the-box fashion- and music-driven partnerships to best align with the chic property. Working in the Boston market for more than 10 years at properties for the Starwood and Kimpton brands, Sauceda successfully represented Nine Zero, Hotel Marlow and The Onyx hotels as regional sales manager. Sauceda’s notable work with Nine Zero garnered him the Kimpton Hotels, Boston’s 2005 Sales Manager of the Year award, in addition to his recognition for all three properties in multiple Sales Manager of the Quarter awards.

Immediately prior to joining The Godfrey, Boston, Sauceda standardized the sales strategy and significantly boosted revenues at the posh Forty 1° North Hotel and Marina in Newport, RI, as well as effectively applied hospitality marketing principles to the marina sales operations.

With these hospitality-rich experiences, Sauceda brings to The Godfrey, Boston’s opening an invigorating passion for the connectedness that hotels offer to guests. He explains, “Ultimately, Godfrey’s goal in the Downtown Crossing neighborhood is to incite warm hospitality in a place that makes guests feel good about being themselves.”

In his time outside the hotel, Sauceda has a keen love for travel. He has traveled extensively throughout the world, including multiple countries in Asia and Latin America as well as numerous visits to Europe, with a particular love for Spain, Ireland and the UK. He is also an avid long distance runner finishing the New York Marathon as well as over a dozen half marathons from California to New England.
