St. Regis Hotels & Resorts today announced a $35 million investment in The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort by its owner, Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (“ARTIC”). Nearly five years after its grand opening, the resort further elevates the guest experience with the launch of a Greek-inspired restaurant, the addition of three expansive four-bedroom suites and a reimagined and expanded lobby lounge. Set to be completed before the end of 2016, the enhancements follow on the heels of the recent opening of the gourmet BH Burger Bar, the new St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge, as well as the debut of the Caroline Room, a 1,800-square-foot private events space.

“Redefining modern luxury, the distinct style of The St. Regis Bal Harbour is crafted for today’s affluent global travelers who make our hotels their home away from home,” said Lisa Holladay, Global Brand Leader, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. “Delivering best-in-class service and anticipating our guests every need, this multi-million-dollar investment further solidifies the resort as an iconic luxury benchmark in the Miami market.”

“Miami continues to be an international epicenter for discerning travelers from around the globe and we are responding to the needs of our guests by once again raising the bar on luxury in Bal Harbour,” said Oliver Key, General Manager, The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort. “These stunning enhancements to the resort and tremendous reinvestment from our ownership are a testament to the importance we place in providing the highest level of service to our guests.”

With Greek native and Executive Chef Anastasios Chasekioglou at the helm, The St. Regis Bal Harbour will open Atlantikós restaurant in November 2016. Meant to be shared, the Atlantikós menu will take guests on a journey of exceptional flavors throughout the Greek Island with dishes like grilled octopus with fava from Santorini, a roasted manouri cheese from Greneva with honey and bee pollen, black ink orzo with langoustines, crispy calamari and grey mullet bottarga from Messologgi, marinated sardines with crushed olives from Thassos Island, beef corfu sofrito, and semolina halva, a traditional Greek dessert, made with raisins, pine nuts, orange marmalade and Greek yogurt ice cream. Each night will commence with a traditional Greek custom plate smashing ritual, and fresh herbs, like oregano, rosemary and thyme, will be available on every table for guests to add to dishes. Atlantikós will serve breakfast (buffet and a la carte), lunch, and dinner seven days a week.

Three new Signature Suites, each with four-bedrooms and four-bathrooms, opened in June 2016. Offering residential luxury living for up to eight guests, each spacious suite features two master bedrooms with en suite five-fixture marble bathrooms, walk-in closets and spacious balconies. Two additional bedrooms with queen sized beds are perfect for friends or children. The main living room is ideal for lounging and opens to a kitchen with a glass dining table that seats eight. The second living room includes a pull-out sofa bed. Each suite offers four 210 square-foot balconies with uninterrupted ocean views as well as the famed St. Regis Butler service. The first four-bedroom Signature Suite, called the Ocean Palace Suite, is 2,950 square feet and located on the fourth floor. The other two four-bedroom Signature Suites, known as the Sky Palace Suites, are located on the 23rd floor and may be connected to form the massive eight-bedroom Grand Sky Palace Suite, which spans over 7,500 square feet and can accommodate up to 18 guests. The Signature Suites individually start at $8,000 per night. The combined Grand Sky Palace Suite starts at $20,000 per night.

At the heart of The St. Regis Bal Harbour, the new Lobby Lounge will offer an elegant, yet comfortable social destination to gather, shop and enjoy light fare from La Gourmandise. The design of the space will have a contemporary glass house framework with natural light that provides the perfect ambiance for meetings and signature rituals in a nontraditional setting. At La Gourmandise, Antonio Bachour, one of the top pastry chefs in the United States, will delight guests with signature pastries and a variety of savory bites throughout the day, in addition to an expansive selection of rare tea blends, a unique coffee offering and exquisite cocktails. The afternoon tea ritual has been a treasured tradition at St. Regis for over a century and will remain as one of the resort’s most anticipated culinary experiences, available daily upon request.

The St. Regis Bal Harbour began its first phase of enhancements in the fall of 2015 with the addition of BH Burger Bar and The St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge. Led by Chef Edison Mays, BH Burger Bar features a highly curated and customizable menu, including everything from the decadent Signature Burger to build-your-own-burgers to gourmet franks, fries, indulgent shakes and local craft beer. With toppings like foie gras, black truffle, kale and tomato jam, BH Burger Bar set the new standard for casual, yet elevated fare in Bal Harbour. The St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge was reimagined with an expanded outdoor terrace and contemporary furniture refresh, in addition to a live sushi station and new menu. The space is an ideal gathering spot to listen to live music, enjoy fine champagnes and indulge in a variety of traditional and contemporary Asian dishes, all in a vibrant and luxurious lounge setting. Lastly, the resort added 1,800-square-foot of private events space, named the Caroline Room, to the property’s conference level, which offers flexible solutions for events and meetings.
