The New Extended-Stay Property is Scheduled to Open in 2016

PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico, Oct. 27, 2015 — G6 Hospitality, known for its iconic economy lodging brands, Motel 6 and Studio 6 in the U.S. and Canada, announced the ground breaking of its brand new Estudio 6 property in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. This is the second Estudio 6 property under development in Mexico.

To celebrate the ground breaking, G6 executives hosted a special event that welcomed a unique blend of attendees, including high-ranking national and local authorities, local and national press, special guests from major businesses in the region, as well as members of the local community. "We are very excited to begin the development of our second Estudio 6 property in Puerto Vallarta, a destination known worldwide for its beautiful beaches and unique attractions. Our brands will offer travelers the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of this charming location at an affordable price," said Jim Amorosia, President and Chief Executive Officer of G6 Hospitality.

The Estudio 6 in Puerto Vallarta is scheduled to open during the second half of 2016 and will be located in the heart of the pacific coast destination known for its beaches, history and nightlife scene. The rooms will feature elements of the company's award winning, modern Phoenix design. Once completed, it will offer suite-type rooms with fully equipped kitchenettes, microwave, stovetop, coffee maker and refrigerator, expanded work areas, HDTVs with premium channels, free Wi-Fi, laundry, and on-site parking. These services combined with a strong brand promise of clean, comfortable rooms and great service at affordable prices makes it the perfect option for extended-stay-seeking travelers.

In 2014, the company announced the introduction of its two new brands in the Latin American market – Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 – with the signing of a development agreement with Latina Promohoteles, a division of Promodesa Commercial, headquartered in Mexico. With an investment of nearly 63 million pesos, the new Estudio 6 will feature a seven-story building with 114 rooms. "We have found the perfect balance between cost, superlative facilities and high quality service, which is what ultimately will differentiate us from other alternatives in the area," said Juan Carlos Gonzalez Vice President of Latina Promohoteles. "Additionally, this property will be the only hotel in the area to offer comfortable and spacious rooms aimed to meet the needs of extended-stay travelers."

G6 Hospitality was ranked one of the Top 10 Hotel Companies by Hotel Management Survey published in September 2015. With its established network, ambitious renovation efforts in the US, and the strong appeal of its Motel 6, Studio 6, Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 brands, G6 Hospitality is positioning as the leader of the economy lodging segment in the U.S., Canada and soon to be in Latin America.
