Newport Beach, CA – October 11, 2017 – Foxwoods Resort Casino has chosen the BirchStreet Procure-To-Pay suite for its entire campus of casinos, restaurants, hotels and convention spaces.
The Mashantucket, Conn. property, which is the largest resort casino in North America, will use the BirchStreet eProcurement, AP 3-Way Auto-Matching, Food & Beverage Inventory Control, Recipe Management and Capital Projects modules. They will rely on BirchStreet to meet procurement needs for both direct- and indirect-spend items across the Foxwoods campus.
Foxwoods’s evaluation found BirchStreet to be a user-friendly system, that, with its drilldown checkbook feature, provides property-level and enterprise-wide F&B spend visibility and control. Switching to the cloud based BirchStreet system will enable Foxwoods to significantly improve its F&B ordering and monitoring of business processes.

The industry leading BirchStreet platform will provide Foxwoods with real-time connectivity to their suppliers. Users can establish order guides that automatically create purchase orders (POs) with an advanced workflow approval process that significantly speeds up the ordering of critical F&B supplies. The BirchStreet checkbook drilldown functionality allows users to monitor budget availability by department or GL code, forecasted purchases, POs pending approval, approved POs, item-level consumption, theoretical balances and item availability.
Foxwoods will use the Recipe Management module to help chefs identify accurate food costs, along with enhancing quality and consistency across their campus. Integrating their Micros POS with BirchStreet will guide chefs to calculate margins and price dishes correctly. BirchStreet reports food nutritional value, allergens and intolerances along with access to both local and enterprise standard recipes and the ability to scale recipes. All inventory items will be better managed with real-time data, par levels, alerts and tracking. The entire platform helps HHM gain insight with reporting and analytics for all procurement activities to easily reduce costs and waste.

Utilizing BirchStreet, Foxwood users will enjoy simplified processes and significant time-savings. Within BirchStreet, supplier catalogs and item pricing is just a few clicks away. Since property procurement budgets are in the system, users can easily stay within their guidelines. Instead of having POs piling up on a manager’s desk, the system streamlines the Foxwoods purchasing work stream so they are emailed for approval as they get created. Upon approval, POs are sent directly to the supplier via the system.
