The 367-room hotel represents the brand’s latest expansion in metropolitan Washington. In modernizing the iconic address, Hilton creates 23,000 sq. ft. of fresh meeting and event space, exquisite dining, and incomparable views from atop L’Enfant Plaza, centrally located just steps from the National Mall and the city’s bustling waterfront. Its executive team brings decades of expertise, presenting guests with experiences that marry immersive, contemporary activities with the capital’s history.

Claudia Eggspuhler, General Manager

Claudia Eggspuhler comes to Hilton Washington DC National Mall with more than 17 years of experience in hospitality and tourism managing hotels across the US. Eggspuhler, A Swiss native, built a career developing personnel and original programing at dynamic, respected hotels. Most recently she served as the General Manager at the Westin Arlington Gateway. Prior to that, she was General Manager at properties including The Adolphus in the Dallas Fort Worth area and The Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel. Claudia has also earned degrees in Hotel Management from the Hotel Schule Belvedere, and Business from the College of Oberwinterthur, both in Switzerland.

Vanessa Wilson, Director of Sales & Marketing

Vanessa Wilson will leverage her 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Hilton Washington DC National Mall. Previously, Wilson served as the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center and the Hilton Washington, DC North Gaithersburg Hotel. Vanessa was honored with the prestigious “Director of Sales of the Year” award in 1999 and 2007 while leading the sales team at the Doubletree Washington, DC, as well as the “Sales Team of the Year” award in 2010 while at the Hilton Washington, DC North Gaithersburg Hotel. She holds a degree in Political Science from the University of the District of Columbia.
