NHA TRANG, Vietnam – March 11, 2016 – Evason Ana Mandara, Vietnam’s renowned five-star resort located along the picturesque beach of Nha Trang, has appointed Andrea Muegge as General Manager.

A German native, Muegge has expansive hospitality experience. She started with Kempinski Hotels in 1998 as Rooms Division Manager at Kempinski Gravenbruch, in Frankfurt, Germany and enjoyed such success that she journeyed within the company for the next 17 years to hotels in Dubai, Amman, Istanbul and Bangkok. Of her illustrious tenure, she says that Ciragan Palace in Istanbul remains close to her heart. Muegge’s new role at Evason Ana Mandara marks her first post with Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.

Muegge said: “Together with the resort team we have identified SMART goals on which to focus in 2016. This foundation will carry us forward into next year, and, most importantly, further differentiate Evason Ana Mandara from its competition in Nha Trang. Competition, as the market has shown, that will continue.”

Specifically, her goals to improve the resort’s offerings begin with evolving the resort’s romantic experiences, followed by adapting the concept of Ana Beach House Bar & Restaurant. “We are the only beachfront resort in Nha Trang city, and we are also the only one with such an opportunity to host uniquely private and somewhat quirky experiences, both on our jetty and on the beach,” continues Muegge. “Together, with the appointment of a new executive chef, the resort has already put together an action plan that ensures all touch points of our guests’ journey is magical. I don’t want to spoil any surprises, but rest assured that there will be plenty of Champagne!”

“Ana Beach House Bar & Restaurant will also see a soft makeover, particularly to its menu and nighttime setting. Coupling the sea with flame, we will introduce a new grill menu. We’re focusing on Nha Trang’s fresh seafood and the high quality of produce we procure from farms in Dalat. My tour of the countryside was awash with the freshest ingredients I have seen in a long time. We’re also bringing in our own domestic salt and pepper. We have all the best ingredients right here at our doorstep, and we plan to use them,” said Muegge.

Admiring how Andrea has swiftly jumped into the role, Bernhard Bohnenberger, president of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, comments, “For someone who loves the sun, the sand and the beach, Evason Ana Mandara is definitely the place for Andrea. No surprise to all of us that she is ready for a new cultural challenge; working with a diverse workforce is second nature to her. She has worked with 50 nationalities during her time in Dubai and we are simply delighted to welcome her to our family.”
