Embassy Suites Seattle Downtown-Pioneer Square, the 282-room flagship location of the hotel brand, announced today four strategic hires to further strengthen the property’s status as one of Seattle’s top luxury properties.

Nicholas Kuhns, General Manager With nearly two decades of experience in the hospitality and food and beverage industries, Nicholas Kuhns is responsible for overseeing all operations at Embassy Suites Seattle Downtown-Pioneer Square as its General Manager, positioning the property to achieve its occupancy and revenue goals as well as ensuring maximum performance throughout each department.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Assistant General Manager at Hilton Salt Lake City Center in Salt Lake City. He has also served as the Director of Food and Beverage at Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa in Clearwater, Fla.

Riccardo Marossa, Director of Sales and Marketing With over 15 years of experience serving as Director of Sales and Marketing at various properties including Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Bellevue and Roosevelt Hotel (now Hotel Theodore) in Seattle, Marossa will oversee all sales and marketing efforts at Embassy Suites Seattle Downtown-Pioneer Square.

In addition, he will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with groups such as Visit Seattle, state and local agencies, philanthropic organizations, groups and entertainment entities including nearby the sports stadiums to meet Embassy Suites Seattle Downtown-Pioneer Square’s revenue goals.

Nickie Andrews, Director of Catering and Events Nickie Andrews previously served as Director of Catering at InterContinental New York Barclay in New York. Prior to that, she was Senior Catering Sales Manager at Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York, where she orchestrated events with A-list celebrity entertainment and political figures. Andrews is responsible for overseeing the flawless execution of events and catering hosted by Embassy Suites Seattle Downtown-Pioneer Square for the 15,000 square foot King Street Ballroom & Perch.
