NEW YORK, NY (February 28, 2017) – Renowned hotel brand and management company Dream Hotel Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Glauser-Benz as Vice President of Development for Latin America and the Caribbean. Tapping into nearly 15 years of experience in hotel development and portfolio expansion, Glauser-Benz brings a wealth of knowledge and an extensive global network of relationships with real estate developers, capital groups and private investors to Dream Hotel Group.

Home to its Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, The Chatwal and Unscripted Hotels brands, Dream Hotel Group encompasses three business lines: Proprietary Brands, Hotel Management and Dining & Nightlife. As Vice President of Development, Glauser-Benz will be responsible for driving the company’s four lifestyle hotel brands into Latin America and the Caribbean markets, playing an integral role in the continued growth and success of the company.

Dream Hotel Group recently announced $1.5 billion in new hotel development with nine hotels opening in new destinations worldwide by 2020, including Dream Hollywood, Unscripted Durham, Dream Oceanami Villas & Spa, Dream Nashville, Dream Dallas, Dream Palm Springs, The Chatwal Maaga Maldives, Dream Gasveli Maldives and Dream Doha. The company plans to sign more than 150 hotels and resorts worldwide across all its brands – Dream, Time, The Chatwal and Unscripted – over the next four years, continuing to solidify its burgeoning portfolio worldwide.

Prior to joining Dream Hotel Group, Glauser-Benz held positions with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), a Fortune 500 real estate company, where he was the Vice President for all new hospitality developments along the West Coast US and Hawaii while working closely with developers, capital groups and hotel operators and with Oppenheim Architecture, where he served as vice president overseeing the implementation of the firm's global growth strategy. Glauser-Benz began his career and passion for hotels and development by working with world-class architects Frank Gehry, WATG and Callison.

Glauser-Benz received his graduate degree in Finance and International Management from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Tulane University in New Orleans and Master of Architecture from Columbia University in New York.
