AtlantaDigital Signage Expo (DSE), the world’s largest international trade show and educational conference dedicated to digital displays, interactive technology and digital communications networks will present new educational opportunities designed specifically for hotel operators system administrators and technologists March 27-29, 2018, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The seminar programs are part of DSE’s Educational Conference designed to help attendees learn about the newest technologies available, how successful digital signage strategies are being implemented, and how to best take advantage of them to strengthen guest relationships through proactive engagement in a variety of applications.

Topics to be presented include:

  • Wednesday, March 28, 8 a.m., Keynote 8 entitled, “Making Places: Designing for the Non-Traditional Digital Canvas,” to be presented by Michael Schneider, Senior Designer of ESI Design. This session will explore how to navigate both architecture and content when designing for this world of non-traditional media canvases.
  • Wednesday, March 28, 9 a.m., Session 1 entitled, “Understanding the Parts of a Digital Signage Network,” to be presented by Jonathan Brawn, Principal of Brawn Consulting. This session will discuss the overall fundamentals of digital signage system design and provide an overview of each of the parts that go into a digital signage network.
  • Wednesday, March 28, 9 a.m., Session 8 entitled, “To Boldly Go: How Marriott is Teleporting Guests into Next Gen Customer Experiences,” to be presented by David Kepron, Vice President of Global Design Strategies and Lifestyle Brands for Marriott International. This session will look at the issues of creating VR experiences and how companies can see them less as syphoning off customers and revenue from stores and more as a vehicle to provide customers with what, in the end, we all crave – novelty, meaningful relationships, and actually being in places that engage us in experiences that are relevant.
  • Wednesday, March 28, 1:15 p.m., On-Floor Workshop DC4 entitled, “Facial Detection and Content Triggers,” to be presented by Richard Ventura, Vice President of Strategy for NEC Display Solutions. This session will discuss the growth in facial detection and triggering content towards the audience as well as cover how big this big data can then be analyzed in order to deliver focus-rich content and better measurement of the network.
  • Wednesday, March 28, 2 p.m., Session 11 entitled, “17 Smartphone Tips, Tricks and Tactics You Can Use Today,” to be presented by Rocky Walls, Co-Founder of 12 Stars Media. This session will break down examples from high-end video productions to simple, straight-to-the-point tips for creating higher quality video, whether using a $50,000 camera or a smartphone.
  • Wednesday, March 28, 4 p.m., Session 13 entitled, “Fundamentals and Applications of Digital Signage Content,” to be presented by Jim Nista, CEO of Insteo. This session will cover the techniques and software that can be used to create amazing content.
