"We are delighted to welcome Dustin to our team and to add another talented industry leader to a key role as DiamondRock continues its positive momentum and enhances the Company's focus on disciplined investing," said Troy Furbay. "Dustin's detail-oriented, data-driven approach to underwriting has led to an impressive track record of sourcing and underwriting high-quality hotels with excellent returns. We expect Dustin to add significant value given his ability to leverage his relationships with leading industry players and the investment community, which will expand our network for sourcing attractive investments."
DiamondRock Hospitality Company is a leading owner of premium quality lodging assets, recently acquiring the 106-room Inn at Key West and, separately, the 432-room Westin Beach Resort & Spa, Fort Lauderdale. The addition of Mr. Resnick further strengthens the Company's position to execute additional growth opportunities.
Mr. Resnick, who has more than ten years of hotel and real estate experience, most recently served as Senior Director of Acquisitions & Development at Hersha Hospitality Trust. In this role, he was responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, and closing of lodging acquisitions. Prior to Hersha, he served as Vice President of Investment Sales with MK Hotels, a hotel real estate brokerage firm, where he facilitated over $550 million of hospitality transactions. Mr. Resnick received his bachelor's degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.
The Company engaged Aethos Consulting Group, a leading executive recruiting firm, to conduct a thorough nationwide search to fill this role. The hiring of Mr. Resnick is the successful culmination of that effort.
