PEORIA, ILL. (June 7, 2022) – Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette, the landmark downtown Peoria hotel operated by Davidson Hotels, is poised for continued revival as an integral part of the local community following a revitalization and refresh. The renovation and repositioning, led by Eva Hill of Venture Oaks Real Estate Group, Inc. along with the celebrated interior design team of Gina Goodin and Christie Ramos-Pacheco of CallisonRTKL, pays tribute to the hotel’s legendary past seen through a modern lens. Newly transformed with bold sophistication, the design of the lobby, Great Room, fitness center, and 286 guest rooms and suites artfully blends preservation and classic elegance with contemporary luxury.

Located adjacent to the hotel lobby, the Great Room serves as the epicenter of energy with convivial seating groups and a Bourbon-centric bar. Textured red velvet and gold metal accents add a sense of grandeur, tempered with furnishings in neutral tones. Sleek lines and modern detailing define the dualities inherent to the property’s design narrative.

In the Presidential Suite, a palette rich in color and texture strikes a delicate balance between unapologetic playfulness and the refined. Walls washed in bright white bring an airy element of carefree ease to a space where paneled walls and crown molding establish an otherwise stately presence. Custom artworks of past presidents at leisure adorn the walls of the two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom suite that spans more than 1,800 square feet and is complete with a separate living room and dining room.

The newly appointed Bridal Suite draws inspiration from the timeless, understated elegance of Audrey Hepburn. Hues of soft-spoken blush envelop the space and recall the qualities embodied by the film and fashion icon. Curved, sculptural furnishings in the parlor provide a moment of calm with grace, while black and white at the dining chairs channel the clean lines of Hepburn’s signature style. In the suite’s prep room, Lucite accent chairs and a jewel-like, mirrored vanity lend sparkle and glamour.

Other accommodations include suites as well as single king and double-bed guest rooms. Handsome, deep blue at the walls exudes dignified confidence while sculptural lighting brings visual interest and warmth. Windows welcome in natural light along with city or river views.

“From the time the hotel opened its doors during the Roaring ‘20s to present day, Pere Marquette has been renowned as a hub for social and diplomatic life,” said Tom Hobson, general manager, Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette. “The grand dame is back, and it’s lively, stunning and timelessly modern. We’ve reimagined an icon by integrating the hotel’s history and culture into a vibrant experience for both new and returning guests.”

First opened in 1927 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette has played host to many celebrities and dignitaries, from former Presidents Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford and Dwight D. Eisenhower to entertainers Bob Hope, Tony Bennett and Liberace.

For inspiring weddings, meetings and social events, Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette offers more than 18,000 square feet of function space, including four opulent ballrooms. Among additional onsite amenities are a newly updated fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub, and pantry store. The hotel is conveniently situated in downtown Peoria and connected to the Peoria Civic Center, which hosts concerts, trade shows, sporting events and exhibitions throughout the year.
