SAN JOSE, CA – August 11, 2016 – General Manager Michael Musarra is proud to announce the appointment of Daniel R. Zink as Director of Operations at Fairmont San Jose.

Mr. Zink brings over 12 years of progressive hospitality experience to the position. Most recently he worked as Assistant General Manager with AC Hotels, where he was responsible for overseeing the first ground up build and hotel operations for the company’s United States flagship hotel.

As Director of Operations at Fairmont San Jose, Zink will focus on daily hotel and food & beverage operations. He will work with all departments to enhance guest satisfaction and further elevate the hotel’s service levels.

Zink began his career at Patina Restaurant in 2003 where he worked as Assistant General Manager. Zink then held restaurant management positions with W Hotel Los Angeles, Omni Hotel Los Angeles and Renaissance Hotels. In 2013, Zink joined The Raleigh Miami Beach hotel as Director of Hotel Food & Beverage Operations and General Manager of Restaurant Michael Schwartz at The Raleigh. He joined the Thompson Miami Beach as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage in 2014.

Zink holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. He enjoys traveling, pétanque and is looking forward to exploring Silicon Valley’s dining scene.
