Boston, Massachusetts, November 29, 2017: The highly anticipated, soon-to-be-opened Courtyard Boston Downtown North End today announced that it has expanded the leadership team at the property as it gears up for its March 2018 debut. Natasha Casillo was appointed General Manager and Jennifer Tavares was named Director of Sales. Ms. Casillo will be responsible for overall management of the property, its resources, staff, and growth strategy. Ms. Tavares will be responsible for driving sales and related promotion of the property. Both executives bring a wealth of experience in the hospitality sector to their new roles at the Courtyard.

Ms. Casillo has spent more than twenty years in hospitality and has been an integral part of leadership teams at well-respected properties in the Boston area. Prior to being named General Manager at the Courtyard, Ms. Casillo was the Director of Rooms at the Hotel Commonwealth for three years during a $55 million hotel expansion. Before to that, she was the Director of Front Office at the Intercontinental Boston. During the course of her career, she has also worked at British Airways, Boston Marriott Copley Place, and Boston Marriott Cambridge. Ms. Casillo earned her B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England.

For the past decade, Ms. Tavares has led direct sales efforts and sales teams in the hospitality sector. Prior to relocating to Boston to join the Courtyard team, Ms. Tavares was the Area Director of Group Sales for TPG Hotels and Resorts in Providence, Rhode Island. During her tenure, her sales team achieved record-setting revenue gains – generating more than $2 million in revenue each year. From 2008-2011, Ms. Tavares also served as the Senior Sales Manager for TPG Hotels and Resorts in Dedham, Massachusetts. Ms. Tavares studied at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
