Washington, DC (November 9, 2018) Quadrangle Development Corporation, Capstone Development, and Crestline Hotels and Resorts are pleased to announce the opening of the dual-branded Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott Washington Downtown/Convention Center located at 901 L Street, NW, Washington, DC., adjacent to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The hotels include a combined 504 guest rooms, over 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event spaces.

The hotels’ design respects the brilliant history of the surrounding neighborhood, so much of which is rooted in the performing arts.

The Courtyard features 357-room guest rooms and the Residence Inn offers 147-room suites. The connected hotels share an expansive rooftop space complete with a large exercise facility, a rooftop terrace, and a tented event space overlooking Washington’s most notable landmarks.

The Delegate, a separately managed restaurant and bar, located right off the central lobby, is helmed by Executive Chef Pernell Morton. The Delegate provides separate catering for all events in the hotel’s impressive meeting spaces with completely customized menu options.

For those planning memorable meetings and events, the Courtyard and Residence Inn offer over 10,000 square feet of meeting space including the Shaw Ballroom, a 3,780-square foot ballroom for up to 350 guests. Across the 5,000-square foot pre-function space lies the 510-square foot Langston Hughes Boardroom with a table for up to 10 and complete with built-in audio visual. The hotel also features three unique hospitality suites housed within the preserved historic townhouses, complete with upstairs bedrooms, first floor kitchens and living areas including conference tables for up to eight. Groups wishing to use a variety of spaces can head upstairs to the property’s rooftop entertainment areas, perfect for pre- or post-event receptions.

The combined properties feature high-end amenities including a rooftop fitness center with a separate yoga space, a convenient business center and boarding pass printing station, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the building, on-site guest laundry, and a 24-hour grab-and-go market.
