FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – October 15, 2015 Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Worldwide’s global luxury brand, will welcome the highly-anticipated Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort in early 2016. Nestled between the palm-shaded boulevards of Sunrise and Las Olas, the new beachfront resort and residences are just steps away from Fort Lauderdale’s exclusive North Beach. The nautically-inspired resort, built by renowned architect Michael Graves, channels the destination’s reputation as the “Venice of America,” paying homage to its winding waterways and yachting heritage with signature porthole windows and panoramic waterfront vistas.

“While Conrad boasts a portfolio of 24 luxury hotels in the Americas, Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort will be the first beachfront resort and residence for the brand in the region,” said John T.A. Vanderslice, global head, Conrad Hotels & Resorts. “As one of the world's fastest growing and most innovative luxury brands, Conrad creates unique experiences for our guests in the most sought after destinations and we look forward to bringing this smart luxury retreat to South Florida.”

Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort will be a one-stop-shop destination with 290 expansive studio and suite accommodations, four distinct indoor and alfresco dining experiences, a 4,000-square foot ocean view spa and fitness center, elevated deck oasis with an ocean-facing pool and plush cabanas, and nine flexible meeting and event spaces. Michael Graves’ impressive 24-story building has been updated by the South Florida-based architectural firm, Garcia Stromberg, in collaboration with Julia Chi and interior design firm Stephen G Interiors.

“Offering an idyllic location, thriving culture and culinary scene and, of course, pristine beaches, Fort Lauderdale continues to be one of the most desired destinations for both leisure and business travelers,” said Martin Wormull, general manager, Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. “The sophistication of Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort will perfectly complement the luxury experience of this vibrant, ‘beach-chic’ city with premium amenities, stylish accommodations and an intuitive understanding of world-class guest service.”

Floor-to-ceiling windows and glass balconies with stunning ocean and Intracoastal views aren’t the only luxuries to expect at Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. The arrival experience is enhanced by the property’s magnificent porte cochere, which features an abstract sculpture by local architect and artist Peter Stromberg that runs the length of the entrance and drives inspiration from the indigenous shoreline mangrove forests. The imposing lobby features soaring ceilings, punctuated by a series of pendulum light fixtures. Upstairs, each luxury yacht-inspired guestroom includes crisp, white furnishings and touches of natural elements like chestnut teak and leather. The stylish bathrooms are replete with marble soaking tubs, rainfall showers and customizable bath products in which guests can pick from four designer brands. As an added convenience, every room is equipped with a modern kitchenette with a Sub-Zero refrigerator and Wolf touchscreen stovetop, providing guests the option of whipping up a gourmet meal or request one of the resort’s esteemed chefs to prepare a lavish meal in the privacy of their room.

Guests never have to leave the lap of luxury as Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort’s world-class drinking and dining offerings range from 24-hour room service to sophisticated oceanfront dining. The resort’s four unique experiences include a Northern Mediterranean restaurant with an outdoor terrace accompanied by sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean; a Prohibition-style bar pouring craft beers and 1920’s-inspired cocktails; a gourmet market with a plethora of dine-in and take-out options; and a tranquil pool bar and lounge.

Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort will offer the popular Conrad Concierge mobile app, which gives global luxury travelers the ability to customize details of their hotel stay before, during, and after each visit via a smartphone or tablet. Whether it's pre-selecting bath amenities or checking-in while in-transit from the airport, guests can access a variety of features by using the app.

Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort will participate in Hilton HHonors®, the only guest loyalty program where guests who book directly through have access to benefits including digital check-in, choose your room, and complimentary Wi-Fi at 24 Conrad hotels worldwide.
