LOS ANGELES – April 19, 2021 Stockdale Capital Partners (“Stockdale”), a Los Angeles-based, vertically-integrated real estate investment firm, announced that hospitality veteran William “Bill” Doak has joined the company as a Managing Director and Head of Stockdale Hospitality.

Bill Doak has more than 30 years of hospitality industry experience, with senior leadership roles in operations, marketing, product development, and asset management with top real estate investment and hotel firms including: CIM Group, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Ian Schrager Company, JRK Hotel Group, Loews Hotels, and Morgans Hotel Group. With CIM Group, Doak oversaw asset management activities for the company’s $2 billion hotel portfolio and included his development and start-up of the firm’s in-house hotel management platform which grew to include 1,300 guestrooms.

Doak’s personal story is compelling: he began his career in the hospitality industry with the basics, serving as a bellman, a restaurant server, and a sales intern with Four Seasons Hotels before moving into more senior roles as a General Manager and leader of several institutional hospitality platforms. Today, Doak’s experience includes hotel launches, turnarounds, restructuring, and repositioning of many iconic hotel properties including Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, Trump Soho as the Dominic, SLS South Beach Hotel and Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. A scholarship athlete, Doak attended California State Polytechnic University’s School of Business, graduating with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management. Bill currently serves as a Director on the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board with past community service including Cal Poly’s Collins College Board of Advisors, Chairman of the Board of the Santa Monica Visitor Bureau, and multiple terms on the Board of Meals on Wheels and The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills.
