PORTLAND, OR – December 2, 2014 – Revcaster, the trusted leader in flexible, cost effective hotel rate shopping tools, announced Best Western International will integrate its revenue management program, BestREV , with Revcaster. All 2,100 North American properties will have an easier, more affordable way to gather rate data and set prices competitively. Some Properties Double ADR Improvement

“In the past year, our Revcaster hotel shopping tools assisted our hotels to have higher performance,” said Patti Halter, CHA, director, revenue services, for Best Western International. “It is easy to see the ADR percent change difference between a hotel that uses comp-set pricing data and those that do not.

“We check properties that do not actively use revenue management services against Revcaster,” Halter continued. “In some cases, our revenue-managed properties show double the improvement of our non-revenue-managed properties.”

Halter added, “Our numbers are well above industry averages. This confirms the use of a rate-shopping tool, coupled with excellent revenue management skills, drives higher performance.”

She also noted, “Just as important, Revcaster’s comp-set pricing tools are easy to use by hotel staff with limited or little technical training.”

Daniel Wise, Revcaster CEO, said, “Patti Halter and her team at Best Western strive to grow ADR and overall revenue for their members. They understand how revenue improves when hotel rate shopping is factored into room rate decision making.”

Comp-Set Pricing Key to Effective Revenue Management

“Coming out of the recession, we knew our properties could raise rates,” Halter explained. “In 2011, Best Western International announced it would provide Revcaster’s competitive rate shopping tools for hotels to its members to help them improve ADR at their hotels.”

“We also offered expanded Revcaster reports to 400 hotels where we provide fee-based revenue services,” said Halter. “All 2,100 hotels have the option to purchase additional rate services from Revcaster.”

Halter also noted that “In 2015, BestREV will integrate Revcaster’s rate data with the JDA Software system to make the final pricing recommendations for all future dates at each hotel.”

The BestREV system made its debut in October 2014 at the annual Best Western convention. It was created by Best Western’s information services, revenue management services and JDA Software.

Best Western Will Use Revcaster Exclusively in 2015

Halter noted most Best Western properties are mid-scale and upper mid-scale. “Our members are cost conscious. We seek out and find vendors that let our member hotels pay a fair price for a product with real value. Revcaster is cost effective for Best Western. In 2015, we will use it exclusively. In addition to 2,100 North American hotels, about 300 international Best Western properties now use Revcaster.”
