Benchmark's Brightest & Best Companies to Work For in Houston Award
Benchmark Hospitality International was one of 65 Houston-area companies to achieve a place on the Best & Brightest list. The list was compiled by the Association for Business Resources, which utilized an independent research firm to evaluate each company based on metrics in various categories. These included compensation, benefits and employee solutions; employee enrichment, engagement and retention; employee education and development; recruitment, selection and orientation; employee achievement and recognition; communication and shared vision; diversity and inclusion; work-life balance; community initiatives and strategic company performance -- with Benchmark scoring high across the board.
Benchmark Hospitality's Top Workplaces Award
The Houston Chronicle's Top Workplaces award went to Benchmark Hospitality's Home Office, which placed on the list of 150 best employers in Houston in the small business category. More than 68,000 Houston-area employees evaluated their companies for this year's Top Workplaces award - rating their employers in such areas as opportunities for advancement, the value of their pay and benefits, and their bosses' communication and management skills. The research was completed by the Pennsylvania-based firm WorkplaceDynamics, which invited 1,391 local companies to participate and surveyed 285 of them, tallying the results to determine winners. The Houston-area Top Workplaces winners will now be considered for a national ranking in January 2014.
