Los Angeles, CA (July 23, 2020) – The Glenmark, Glendale, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel is now open in California. The sophisticated yet approachable hotel will offer an authentic Glendale experience, inspiring social interaction in a playful environment. The first full-service Marriott International hotel in Glendale will feature 85 artfully designed guest rooms; signature restaurant Olia; Mila Rooftop Bar; Intelligentsia Coffee Roasters; a lobby bar; a state-of-the-art fitness center and 7,900 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. Renowned Santa Monica-based firm Hirsch Bender Associates was tapped to design the hotel, implementing thoughtful details that reflect the location’s heritage and creative identity. The Glenmark Hotel is part of the Tribute Portfolio, Marriott International’s newest collection brand that aims to attract travelers looking for fresh experiences that reflect their own individuality. The property is managed by Azul Hospitality Group, a San Diego based hospitality management company focused primarily on upscale hotels and resorts and recipient of the Marriott Horizon Award.

Meetings & Events
The Glenmark Hotel features 7,900 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. This includes 3,400 square feet of indoor meeting space replete with natural light; a 4,500 square foot Rooftop Lounge with breathtaking views; and state-of-the-art technology, encouraging connection.

Food & Beverage
The hotel will offer guests four distinct food and beverage options, helmed by Executive Chef Tony Trujillo, who brings with him an extensive culinary portfolio and almost 20 years of experience working at such renowned restaurants as Urban Kitchen Group’s CUCINA enoteca, Salt Creek Grille, Parkway Grill, Michael Mina’s Stonehill Tavern and more.

  1. The Glenmark’s sophisticated, authentic and approachable signature restaurant Olia will offer a modern interpretation of Mediterranean and French Provincial cuisine, prepared with the best produce California has to offer. Executive Chef Tony Trujillo, familiar with seasons and flavor profiles that come along with being a Southern California native, explores juxtapositions of flavor and texture with Olia’s imaginative menu. In compliance with recent Governor mandates, Olia will initially offer takeaway items during breakfast and lunch hours.
  2. Mila, Glendale’s tallest rooftop bar, is a 4,500 square foot oasis with breathtaking views of the Los Angeles skyline, Hollywood Hills and Verdugo Mountains. The menu will feature tapas style food that complements the season, along with innovative hand-crafted cocktails and local beers. Framed by greenery, stylish décor and scenic views, Mila will be the ideal setting for outdoor dining when it opens in early August.

Intelligentsia Coffee Roasters is a place for guests and locals alike to catch their morning buzz or stay all day, sampling an array of award-winning artisanal coffees and teas, fresh pastries, and satisfying breakfast sandwiches. Intelligentsia will offer outdoor seating and items for takeaway.
  4. The lobby bar will feature carefully curated cocktails, wines and beers that reflect the fresh, engaging spirit of Glendale. In accordance to recent Governor mandates, initially the lobby bar will provide beverages solely for takeaway orders from Olia restaurant.

The Glenmark Hotel will implement new guidelines required by the Marriott Global Cleanliness Council. Enhanced cleaning and safety measures include updated training for all associates on infection prevention; additions to the cleaning regimen using CDC recommended sanitizing solutions; all associates will wear a face covering as a part of their uniform; and modifications to associate-guest protocols will be consistent with recommended social distancing guidelines. Public areas will feature plexiglass shields at the front desk; hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel; reduced contact with self-check-in; and frequent cleaning and disinfection of public areas and high touch surfaces.
