ATLANTA – August 21, 2019 – Avison Young Hospitality Group announced today that Chris Kilcullen and Bill Shiver have joined the Avison Young Hospitality Group. Chris Kilcullen will operate from the Avison Young Denver office and Bill Shiver has joined in Atlanta.

Chris Kilcullen – Christopher Kilcullen is an industry veteran with 25+ years of experience in the hospitality business. Most recently as SVP of Acquisitions for a non-traded REIT, where he completed over $160 million in transactions for it’s shareholders. Chris has led a distinguished career as VP of Development for one of the major hospitality franchise companies where he covered much of the western Half of the US and completed more than 250 transactions. Chris has built his reputation by understanding the needs of his clients and looking for ways to move difficult transactions to a successful end for all parties involved.

When not working, Chris serves as Co-Founder of a non-profit food truck called Kitchen One for One, serving the homeless and impoverished in the Denver community. Mr Kilcullen is married to his amazing wife, Tyra of 25 years, has two children, enjoy’s cooking with friends. and all the joys of life in the Colorado Rockies.

Bill Shiver – Bill Shiver brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the Avison Young Hospitality Group. His most recent commercial real estate experience was at Ten-X as a member of the inside CRE Broker Services Group. While at Ten-X, he worked with their institutional clients in all aspects of the transaction process with the ultimate goal of getting valid offers submitted at or above the set reserve on auction day. During his tenure, he led the successful transactions for over $125 million in assets, mostly hotels, along with retail and office properties.

Bill’s hospitality brokerage career began in 2004 when he joined an Atlanta based brokerage firm to focus on their new golf industry practice. By the time he left the firm, his successful track record also included resorts, hotels, and restaurants.He graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Finance and is married and lives with his wife in northern Atlanta. When not working on hotel transactions, Bill enjoys golf, tennis, sailing, flying, travel and time with friends and family.
