MILL VALLEY, Calif., June 7, 2017 — Auberge Resorts Collection, owner and operator of award-winning small luxury resorts, residences and clubs, today announced that the company will manage Bishop's Lodge, the historic Santa Fe resort located in the foothills of New Mexico's Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Set on over 300 acres, Bishop's Lodge, which first opened in 1918, is undergoing a $75 million renovation that will restore its longtime status and reimagine the guest experience for the modern luxury traveler. Upon completion, the resort will feature 92 guest rooms and suites, plus three tents and 12 residences, an Auberge Spa, a new restaurant and lounge with expanded outdoor seating, an art studio/gallery, two swimming pools, stables and a trail riding program, cultural and family programs, and many other exciting offerings of active outdoor adventures.

"This historic property is beloved by so many who have traveled to Santa Fe through the years. We are excited to embrace the Lodge's iconic character while elevating it to a one-of-a-kind luxury resort experience," said Dan Friedkin, Chairman, Auberge Resorts Collection. "Bishop's Lodge will be a vibrant addition to the Auberge portfolio. In February, we opened Chileno Bay Resort & Residences in Los Cabos, and in March we announced the addition of the Lodge at Blue Sky in Utah. Assuming management of Bishop's Lodge is another significant step toward our goal of being the world's leading owner and operator of boutique luxury hotels."

"Bishop's Lodge offers what simply cannot be manufactured – a superb location close to the culturally rich attractions of Santa Fe and a pristine natural setting renowned for its spectacular landscape and panoramic views," said Craig Reid, President and Chief Executive Officer, Auberge Resorts Collection. "We are delighted to be working with HRV Hotel Partners to re-introduce Bishop's Lodge in Santa Fe as an Auberge resort – it will be a uniquely memorable experience for all who visit this exceptional property."

Set to reopen in summer 2018, Bishop's Lodge is ideally situated in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, just four miles from the historic Santa Fe Plaza. Once renovation is complete, Bishop's Lodge will feature an exceptional variety of luxury accommodations – from guest rooms and suites redesigned in an updated Santa Fe style, complete with kiva fireplaces, large terraces and comfortable oversized furniture, to luxe "glamping" tents for guests to enjoy the incredible experience of sleeping under millions of stars. Families and small groups will also have new options, including a modern-rustic bunkhouse along with three- and four-bedroom residences offering sweeping mountain views.

For gatherings, meetings and celebrations, Bishop's Lodge will offer new indoor-outdoor spaces, including a 3,500-square-foot tented event pavilion with an adjoining lawn, multiple event lawns and the centerpiece of the resort: a preserved chapel, originally constructed under Archbishop Lamy in the 1860s, alongside a formal wedding garden. Complementing the resort's physical enhancements will be a paradise of outdoor adventure activities for all levels, including horseback riding, mountain bike trail riding, hiking and fly fishing. The Auberge Spa will tap into the restorative spiritual energy Santa Fe is known for by offering immersive yoga, meditation and healing therapies, all led by top instructors and wellness practitioners. The cultural programming will celebrate the rich history of the land, Native American traditions, art exhibitions and the soulful experiences of the region.

"Santa Fe is a destination for culture, spirit and adventure, a world heritage city with a rich past. Its history would not be complete without Bishop's Lodge, a legendary hotel whose stunning setting and rustic beauty has cast a magical spell on guests from all over the world," said Mark Harmon, Founder, Auberge Resorts Collection. "We couldn't be more pleased to welcome this iconic place into our collection of unique hotels and resorts."

"We're excited to partner with Auberge Resorts Collection on our restoration and enhancement of this treasured resort," said Richard Holland, Managing Partner, HRV Hotel Partners. "Auberge's extraordinary talent for creating transformative experiences, as well as the most gracious and personalized service, makes them the ideal partner for this historic opportunity."

Construction is underway, and the resort is expected to reopen in summer 2018. For more information, please visit: https://aubergeresorts.com/resort/bishops-lodge-santa-fe/
