ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Sept. 24, 2013) - For the first time, visitors and guests will get a glimpse inside the completely renovated Holiday Inn Near the University of Michigan (hiannarbor.com). A north-side landmark since 1971, hotel staff is thrilled to welcome the community with a grand-reopening that reveals the $5 million, yearlong renovation, which included an overhaul all guest rooms and public spaces, as well as Guy Hollerin's, renamed Guy Hollerin's Ann Arbor Bar & Grill.
"Our guests - especially our regulars - are excited to see the final results of this renovation," said Joe Sefcovic, general manager of the Holiday Inn Near the University of Michigan. "We're curious to see if they recognize the hotel when they see it for the first time. The lobby, the rooms and the exterior have all been completely updated and modernized so our guests can sit back and enjoy the hotel more than ever before."
Some of the many updates include the following:
Don't Forget About Guy
Naturally, the hotel renovation included an update of the newly renamed Guy Hollerin's Ann Arbor Bar & Grill. Guy Hollerin's has been a mainstay of the hotel since its beginnings. Some things haven't changed: the full-service bar and restaurant still greets guests with a friendly, casual atmosphere, and will continue to feature "Local Blues & Brews" on Saturday nights which showcases the bests artists on the Ann Arbor and Detroit blues scene. What's new is the menu, still includes guest favorites, but now features dishes that reflect Guy's more refined lifestyle, including a few vegan entrees.
