St. Helena, CA — (May 2023) — Alila Napa Valley, the luxury adults-only boutique resort resting amidst vineyards in the St. Helena community of Napa Valley, California is pleased to announce the appointment of Heidi Miersemann as General Manager.

Heidi Miersemann joins Alila Napa Valley with 25 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, most recently with Hyatt at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa. Her move to Napa Valley is a return to her home in wine country and she brings with her experience with Hyatt, Hilton and Starwood. She has a history of serving as a Board Member in destination resort communities including the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s in Lake Tahoe, Sonoma County and Napa Valley, as well as serving as Board Director of Membership Meeting Professionals International, Northern California Chapter.

In this new role, Miersemann is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort including the heart of the grounds, Spa Alila, the Acacia House restaurant, a local’s favorite, and the special events Estate Barn, one of the largest in St. Helena. She is delighted to rejoin the Napa Valley community and endeavors to elevate the Alila brand of resorts, newer to the California region, as a brand known for their ability to more deeply connect guests with the destination. Her experience in the hospitality industry will allow Miersemann to support the world-class reputation and incorporate the spirit of California’s wine country into the Alila Napa Valley’s ethos through all four seasons.

Miersemann graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara, earned the Convention Industry Council’s Certified Meeting Professional designation and holds a non-active real estate in California. She completed Starwood Hotels and Resort’s Leadership curriculum and was invited into and concluded Hyatt’s LEAD program for developing Hyatt Hotel & Resort leaders. Miersemann was selected and accomplished a year of General Manager mentorship through Hyatt’s GM Mentorship program. Miersemann volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and in recent years moderated a leadership panel discussion about Work and Life Harmony in the hospitality industry. She is a member of Toastmasters International and Women at Hyatt.
