Novotel, the midscale brand from the world's leading hotel operator, AccorHotels, has announced the appointment of Alain D'Addio as General Manager of Novotel New York Times Square. In this role, D'Addio will oversee all operations of the hotel's U.S. flagship, with responsibilities including sales and marketing, food & beverage, and assuring an inviting and exciting stay for guests.

"Alain is vastly experienced and greatly skilled to oversee our New York address, and we are delighted to have him represent Novotel in the heart of Times Square," said Marc Sternagel, Vice President of Operations for Midscale Hotels, AccorHotels North America, Central America and the Caribbean. "His nearly two decades with the Group have been marked by innovation and success, with his hotel teams not just meeting but exceeding customer expectations. His organizational skills, cultural awareness and managerial acumen have developed positively throughout his career, and that will no doubt continue in New York City."

D'Addio joins Novotel New York Times Square from Novotel Moscow City, where as General Manager he created innovative food & beverage projects; achieved the highest turnover, profitability and fee contribution to AccorHotels Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States; and played a key role in helping the hotel become a market leader.

He also served as Operation Manager of Novotel Moscow City. Previously, D'Addio was Deputy General Manager of Novotel Sheremetyevo Airport in Khimki, Russia, from 2011 to 2012. As Sales and Marketing Director of Pullman Bucharest World Trade Center from 2008 to 2010, he contributed to the front desk operations and room divisions while keeping the sales team competitive during a difficult economic landscape.

D'Addio earned an A-Level Economic degree in English and Spanish from the University of Nice in France and a diploma and degree in Hotel Management from the Vatel Nimes International Business School in France.
