Fayetteville, Ar. – Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners announced today that it has acquired The Chancellor Hotel in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The hotel will continue to operate as The Chancellor Hotel while renovations take place. Once complete in fall 2019, the hotel will be converted to Graduate Fayetteville, part of the Graduate Hotels® collection. The 206-room hotel is conveniently located in downtown Fayetteville, just a half-mile from the University of Arkansas campus.

Prominently situated on East Avenue, the hotel is around the corner from the Fayetteville’s historic Downtown Square and steps from the Dickson Street entertainment district, featuring bars and restaurants, boutiques, live music venues, galleries and more. The hotel is also easily accessible to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Bud Walton Arena and the Walton Arts Center.

Created for travelers who seek memory-making journeys, Graduate Hotels is a thoughtfully crafted collection of hotels that reside in the most dynamic university-anchored cities across the country. Each property celebrates and commemorates the optimistic energy of its community, while offering an extended retreat to places that often play host to the best days of our lives. There are currently 13 open and operating hotels across the U.S. and an additional 13 hotels under development slated to open by the end of 2020.

“We couldn’t be more pleased and excited about our acquisition of The Chancellor Hotel and becoming a longtime member of the vibrant and dynamic Fayetteville community,” says Tim Franzen, President of Graduate Hotels. “When we launch as Graduate Fayetteville next year, it will be in continuance of our ever-expanding presence across the country and, more specifically, throughout numerous SEC markets in the South.”

The hotel will undergo a comprehensive renovation to convert it to Graduate Fayetteville, which will touch all guestrooms, common areas, the lobby-level restaurant and bar and the hotel’s 12,200 square feet of flexible meeting and events space.
