HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – June 3, 2021 – 106 Jefferson, a Curio Collection hotel by Hilton, managed by Valor Hospitality Partners announced today the appointment of Hugo Reyes Duran as general manager and Mary Beth Lewis as director of sales and marketing. The 115-room upscale boutique hotel will offer an exceptional hotel experience rooted in the spirit of the community with a look and feel harkening back to the era of the space race that lifted the community to new heights.

As general manager, Reyes Duran will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s opening process, as well as day-to-day operations, guest relations and staff management. A seasoned industry veteran, Reyes brings nearly two decades of exemplary hospitality and managerial experience to the property. Prior to joining the 106 Jefferson team, Reyes held leadership positions at several premier brands including Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Starwood and Gran Melia. With a passion for the hospitality industry, he strives to make a positive impact in the lives of his guests and provide them with unforgettable experiences.

As director of sales and marketing, Lewis will lead the sales and marketing team with a strong focus on client and community engagement, guest services touch points and profitability. As a Huntsville resident, Lewis brings more than three decades of experience to the 106 Jefferson team, with a focus on delivering memorable guest experiences, sales and marketing and food and beverage service management. Lewis has worked in a variety of hotels from boutique to large resort properties including independent, Marriott and Hilton Brands and possesses a multi-dimensional perspective and understanding of the everchanging needs of her customers.
