FrontClerk 2000 PMS Integrates PBX, Voice Mail,
In-room Movies, Call Accounting and the Internet
for limited Service Hotels
Portland, OR Hotel Software Systems raises limited-service hotel system integration to new levels with the FrontClerk 2000 Lodging Link, interfacing more than 100 common guest services systems with the industry-leading FrontClerk 2000 PMS system.

FrontClerk Lodging Link brings new automation and efficiencies to the limited service hotel. You can say goodbye to manually activating guest services, then hand-posting guest-service use and billings into the guest room folio, said Ken Fuller, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Hotel Software Systems.

With FrontClerk 2000 already in more than 4,500 properties nationwide, Hotel Software Systems is the market leader in providing leading-edge property management systems to limited service hotels.

With FrontClerk 2000 Lodging Link, guest services are activated with a push of a button at check-in.  Weve eliminated the need to manually activate and track guest services and the all-too-frequent occurrence of guest charges slipping through the cracks, said Fuller.  This is a big advance in terms of day-to-day efficiency, as well as expanding the opportunity for smaller hotels to enjoy the benefits of advanced technology.

The FrontClerk 2000 Lodging Link system includes thin server hardware loaded with software interfaces that enable the FrontClerk 2000 PMS to effectively communicate with more than 100 common guest services applications, from PBX and voice mail to in-room movies. Guest services systems are plugged into serial ports on the server to integrate with the property management system.

Initially, the system integrates universally with systems in five basic guest service categories:  PBX, voice mail, in-room movies, call accounting and the Internet.

This new system was developed as a result of close collaboration between Hotel Software Systems Services and Comtrol, maker of Lodging Link, generally recognized as the premier universal interface for the hospitality industry.

A technology leader in property management systems software since 1985, Portland, Oregon-based Hotel Software Systems Front Clerk 2000 products are installed in 36 percent of the nations limited-service hotels. Originally a complex DOS-based system, it has been continually upgraded to meet todays needs.  Linux-based, Internet-ready FrontClerk 2000 systems offer the a user-friendly Web-browser interface enabling front desk staff point-and-click to Internet for room, car rental and travel reservations, as well as travel directions. In addition, Hotel Software Systems offers RestClerk 2000, a restaurant and retail shop management program that posts guest purchases directly to guest folios.
