FORT LAUDERDALE, June 1, 1999 � Choice Atlantica Hotels
announced groundbreaking for a Sleep Inn property in Ribeirao Preto, a
city located one hour northwest of Sao Paulo, Brazil. This is Choice Atlantica
Hotels� fourth Sleep Inn project under development. The property is a joint
venture between Choice Atlantica Hotels and InterShopping Comercial e Servicos.
The 116-room, four-story property will feature two meeting rooms and a pool. The hotel is scheduled for completion in January 2000. The Sleep Inn brand is an all-new construction limited-service chain offering state-of-the-art room features such as electronic door locks, oversized 73-inch desks, telephones with data ports, convenient desk-height electrical outlets, walk-in oversized shower and more. A complimentary breakfast is included in the price of the guest room. Sleep Inn has been rated as the top economy lodging brand by �Consumer Reports.� Other Sleep Inns in Brazil include the Sleep Inn Galleria in Campinas, scheduled for completion in June 1999; Sleep Inn Sorocaba, scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2000; and the Sleep Inn Varginha, to open in the fourth quarter of 2000.
