MEMPHIS, Tenn - June 1, 1999-- Promus Hotel Corporation
(NYSE: PRH) recently recognized 44 properties as 1999 Pinnacle Award-winning
Hotels at Promus' annual Systems Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The properties
were among the best performers of the company's worldwide portfolio of
more than 1,300 hotels.
"In a year of very stiff competition, the 1999 Pinnacle Award winners
consistently outperformed national, local and brand competition," said
Tom Keltner, president of brand performance and development. Each hotel
further distinguished itself from its competitors by understanding and
serving customers better."
Winning
hotels were recognized as "best of the best" based on their high ranking
for quality, guest satisfaction and business performance. Two-thirds of
the scoring was related to quality and product, with the remaining one-third
based on financial performance.
