Day Hospitality Group Opens SpringHill Suites in Alpharetta, Georgia

ATLANTA (April 14, 1999) Day Hospitality Group (DHG) held a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony recently for its seventh hotel, a SpringHill Suites by Marriott that is the first of its brand in Atlanta. Marriott tapped DHG for the introduction because DHG hotels have earned best in the nation awards for friendliness, cleanliness, maintenance and guest satisfaction.  DHG also maintains an outstanding track record as a management company.

Located at 12730 Deerfield Parkway in Deerfield Commons Business Park in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, SpringHill Suites stands two stories tall and features 84 rooms. The hotel joins three other Marriott hotels in the Alpharetta area, including a TownePlace Suites and Fairfield Inn owned and managed by Day Hospitality Group.

Day Hospitality Group is proud to introduce Marriotts newest product, the SpringHill Suites, to the Atlanta market where our Fairfield Inn and TownePlace Suites have been very successful, said Peyton Day, DHGs Chairman and CEO.  We are pleased to extend our special brand of hospitality to the growing north central area of Atlanta where the new hotel will fill a definite need.

Names Childrens Wish Foundation Its Community Partner

As part of the opening celebration, Day Hospitality Group highlighted its corporate commitment to charitable giving and named Childrens Wish Foundation its community partner.  A non-profit organization whose mission is to bring terminally ill childrens dreams to life, Childrens Wish will receive $1 per room sold during the first month of operation of each new DHG hotel, beginning immediately.  At the ribbon cutting, the company presented a check for $1,000 to Childrens Wish Foundation.  The donation will facilitate at least one childs wish.

DHG is proud to partner with Childrens Wish to help children cope with life-threatening illnesses, said Fred Cerrone, DHG president.

The SpringHill Suites hotel is geared to the guest who plans a three to five-day stay and seeks in-room amenities such as a desk with an ergonomic chair, a separate living area with a recliner, counter space with a microwave, a personal size refrigerator, an iron and ironing board in addition to the telephone with data port and room-wide extension cord and a color television with free HBO and ESPN. Standard hotel amenities include a swimming pool and spa, exercise room, guest laundry, and complimentary continental breakfast served in a spacious area adjacent to the lobby.  The public areas feature living-room ambiance complete with wingback chairs, a dual-sided fireplace and fresh-baked cookies.

Those participating in the ribbon cutting event included Peyton Day, DHG Chairman and CEO, Fred Cerrone, DHG President and COO, Ed Paradine, Market Vice President-Atlanta, Marriott International; John Dorris, President, Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce; and DeSales Wagster, Executive Director, Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Day Hospitality Group (DHG) is a full-scale management, development and consulting firm specializing in the targeted-service lodging segment of the hotel industry.  A franchise partner of Marriott International, Inc., (NYSE/MAR), DHG operates five Fairfield Inn by Marriott properties in Midtown Atlanta, Alpharetta, Perimeter Center, Buckhead and Kennesaw, the TownePlace Suites-North Point and SpringHill Suites-Alpharetta. The company has Fairfield Inns under construction in Macon, Georgia and Charlotte, NC.
