The Pan Pacific San Francisco Enhances Their
"Every Conceivable Amenity List"
with the Addition of On-Site Auto Detailing

(San Francisco, CA) --- 16 Apr 1999 -

What do actor Michael Douglas, members of the illustrious Olympic Club, San Francisco's high society, and guests of The Pan Pacific have in common? Auto detail specialist Joe Newhoff...

Continuously striving to provide guests with every  conceivable service and amenity, The Pan Pacific San Francisco has the  distinction of being the only hotel in the Bay Area to offer on-site auto  detail service.

The Pan Pacific San Francisco is also known for such exclusive amenities as  personal butler service for every guest, pillows fluffed to guest  specification, luxury locker wardrobe storage, curb-side check-in, private  entrance executive conference center, and complimentary BMW car service  throughout downtown.

For hotel and restaurant guests alike, highly-regarded auto detail specialist  Joe Newhoff is available by appointment only and offers everything from  standard auto cleaning to complete detailing.

While dining in PACIFIC restaurant and taking in a show at one of the nearby  theaters, guests can enlist the services of Newhoff for a standard or  extended auto cleaning for $35. and $60., respectively.  The standard  cleaning includes hand washing of the exterior, cleaning of the windows  (inside and out), cleaning of wheels and tires, applying dressing to tires,  and complete vacuuming (including trunk).  The extended cleaning includes all  of the aforementioned plus dusting, wiping down and interior spot cleaning.

For hotel guests who are otherwise mobile for one or two complete days,  Newhoff provides hand polish and wax for $145. or the full-on, "King's  ransom" complete auto detail which starts at $295.  The hand polish and wax  takes approximately 8 hours and includes all the components of the  above-mentioned extended auto cleaning plus hand polish and wax.   The complete auto detail requires 2 full days and includes interior  shampooing of the headliner, carpets, seats, mats, sun visors, trunk, and  door pockets and panels; careful cleaning of the seat and sunroof tracks;  meticulously cleaned controls, levers, ashtrays, steering column and wheel,  air conditioning vents, pedals, dashboard, and center console and glove  compartment.  Leather and/or vinyl upholstery is then reconditioned.  The  exterior is restored by removing any tar, surface scratches, and oxidation by  polishing and conditioning the paint before hand applying wax.  All chrome is  cleaned and polished along with cleaning the wheels, tires, door jambs,  grill, glass, mirrors, moldings, headlights, bumpers, door handles, and fuel  compartment.  Newhoff goes so far as to "swab" out the vents with Q-Tips,  thoroughly clean the spare tire, and remove such items as license plates to  clean the hard-to-reach areas.

A fixture at The Pan Pacific for over 11 years, Newhoff is known for both his  meticulous attention to (auto) detail and his charming personality, which is  a refreshing welcome to his revered clientele.  Greeted by a garage pond of  rubber duckies and a wall full of positive affirmations, Newhoff's customers  often drive away with a console full of their favorite snacks (evidence of  which is found during his thorough cleaning). Newhoff's favorite affirmation:  Your work is a portrait of yourself (He must  be one clean chap!)

The Pan Pacific Hotel San Francisco is located on fashionable Post  Street, only one block from the city's shopping mecca Union Square and within  walking distance to the theater district, cable cars and many fine  restaurants.  The hotel is also within minutes of Moscone Center, The  Financial District, and downtown.
