| OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 26, 1999 - Forte Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:
FRTE) today announced that Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) has
selected the full Forte(R) product line as its standard platform for integrating
with existing application packages, extending them and creating new custom
and Web-enabled applications. The agreement encompasses the Forte Application
Environment(TM), Forte Conductor(TM), the Forte Application Server(TM)
for OS/390(R), Forte WebEnterprise(TM) and Forte Express(TM) for use in
Marriott's operations throughout the world.
The Forte products were selected after an extensive evaluation, which
