Tom Vincent was recognized as Hotelperson of the Year for his accomplishments and commitment to the local and state tourism industry. As General Manager of San Diego Paradise Point Resort for the past 13 years, he has dedicated his expertise, experience and energy to become a recognized visionary and exemplary leader in the hospitality industry. 

Tom is well known for several of his involvements in local and national associations including past President and Chairman of the San Diego Hotel-Motel Association; board member of the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau; an officer of the Mission Bay Lessees Association; as well as serving on a number of task forces on behalf of the Mayor and City Manager of San Diego.  At the state level, Tom has served as President and Chairperson of the California Hotel & Motel Association and continues to serve as an active senior board member of CH&MA. 

Under Tom�s tireless and inspirational leadership, San Diego Paradise Point Resort was 
recently recognized with the 1999 California Tourism Award for Best Community Service for the resort�s 12 year commitment to the local Make-A-Wish Foundation.  The resort is also a two-time recipient of the Finest Service Award, presented by the Convention & Visitors Bureau. 

Tom Vincent was also recognized for his dedication to humanitarian and fundraising events including the San Diego Paradise Point Resort�s Make-A-Wish Golf Tournament, which to date has raised $875,000 for local children with life-threatening illnesses.  In addition, he is involved in fundraising efforts for United Way/CHAD, Mama�s Kitchen, Friends of the Poor and the Center for Abused Children.  He also donates his personal time to serve lunch to senior citizens Ocean Beach Community Center.
