Major Independent Ski Resort Websites Choose WorldRes for Internet Based Reservation System

SAN MATEO, CA, February 2 - WorldRes, Inc. will provide the ski resorts of Park City, Snowbird, Big Mountain and Winter Park with real-time lodging and custom packaging capability for their web sites These are the first independent resorts to take advantage of WorldRes technology, which has already been embraced by the four largest North American resort management companies:  American Skiing Company, Vail Resorts, Inc., Booth Creek Ski Holdings, Inc. and Intrawest Corporation.

WorldRes will provide each resort with an easy-to-use Internet-based reservations program that allows it to generate revenue by selling custom-tailored confirmed packages through the resort's web site. The technology allows for the combining of real-time room inventory with products and services such as lift tickets, lessons, equipment rentals and other components. The entire travel package will be confirmed instantly during a single user session.

The WorldRes solution is cost effective and time efficient for both the resort and the traveler. By offering travelers the opportunity to not only confirm lodging but also purchase products and services online, resorts can process online transactions much more quickly and provide a full-service reservations center that is available 24 hours a day, worldwide. Travelers will be able to choose their package and receive an instant confirmation, instead of having to request space and wait for a phone, e-mail or fax notification. This program can be easily integrated for use by call center operators.

"We have successfully adapted our technology to give independent resorts this powerful e-commerce application," said Scott Potter, vice president of business development for WorldRes. "These outstanding resorts are great additions to our geographical mix, and our new distribution partners bring even greater value to our mountain resort partners."
