Lexington® Services to Display Latest Hotel Reservations Technology at International Tourism Exchange
 
DALLAS, Feb. 25, 1999 -- Lexington Services, a subsidiary of The Travel Company (Nasdaq: TRVL), the largest provider of global hotel reservations in the nation and second largest in the world , will offer online demonstrations of its latest technology at the International Tourism Exchange March 6-10 in Berlin, Germany.

Lexington Services will demo LexLinkSM OnLine, a password-protected management tool that provides Lexington�s member hotels access to Lexington Services� system to manage inventory, download reservations and access real-time information on revenue, productivity and guest arrivals.

Lexington Services also will debut Rate OnLine, a new feature of LexLink OnLine, which will allow member hotels to change their rates online in real time.

More than 400 Lexington Services� member hotels are currently using LexLink OnLine since its launch in Nov. 1998. Lexington Services� newest member is Candlewood Hotel Company, Inc., which has more than 100 properties open or under development in the United States. 

�LexLink OnLine allows us to easily manage the complicated inventory associated with all-suite hotels, as well as to download reservations, and access up-to-the-minute information on productivity and guest arrivals,�� said David Redfern, vice president of sales and marketing for Candlewood.

More than 2,500 hotels partner with Lexington Services in order to increase their visibility with more than 600,000 travel agents and planners worldwide.
