San Diego, CA, February 15, 1999 - � Congratulations
to Bo Landress who has recently been promoted to Director of Sales
at San Diego Paradise Point Resort. Landress will be responsible
for the overall sales efforts at Paradise Point, specifically concentrating
on conventions and meetings. Landress, who has been with the resort
for nearly 3 years, has held the position of Associate Director of Sales
for the past two years.
Landress will replace John Davies who will remain at the resort as Director
of Marketing in addition to his new role as Regional Director of Marketing
for Noble House Hotels and Resorts in the Western region. Davies
will concentrate on the repositioning of Paradise Point as it begins the
first phase of a multi-million dollar renovation.
Landress� background includes almost 10 years of hotel sales experience.
He began working with Atlas Hotels, San Diego, in their Sales Department
for a period of 3 years, whereupon he then moved on to Red Lion Hotels
in Santa Barbara, where he continued his experience in sales. Landress
received both his BA in Business Administration and an MBA at the University
of San Diego.
Under the direction of Davies and Landress, Paradise Point Resort has
received numerous industry accolades including: the Finest Service Award
presented by the Convention and Visitors Bureau (1992 & 1996); the
prestigious Gold Key Award presented by Meetings & Conventions magazine
(1997 & 1998); and two state tourism awards from the California Tourism
Industry for Best Community Service and Best Direct Mail Collateral (1999).
